Summary: Become up-to-date with latest industry regulation on wiring and the safe use and operation of electrical equipment and systems

Course description: The IET Wiring Regulations (BS 7671) are the definitive standards for the electrical industry in respect of safe use and operation of electrical equipment and systems. They set requirements and operating criteria for the UK and correspond to EC standards and are recognised by the British Standards Institute as a British Standard (BS 7671).
This qualification is primarily aimed at practising electricians with relevant experience and other allied professionals e.g. surveyors, consultants and other trades needing to update and enhance their understanding of IEE Wiring Regulations. Anyone looking to register with a competent persons scheme will need to prove they are up to date even if they have already completed a Level 3 NVQ.
We offer the latest version of the City and Guilds 2382-15 17th Edition course including the 3rd Amendment, launched in January 2015 and became mandatory from July 2015.

Entry requirements: There are no formal entry requirements for candidates undertaking this qualification. However, it is expected that candidates will have basic knowledge of electrical science.

Assessment: You will need to successfully complete an on-line multiple choice assessment. This is an open book assessment and candidates will be allowed to take in permitted reference material.
