Electric Vehicle sales are on the rise and therefore more and more EV charging points are being installed. XS training offer the City and Guilds 2919 EV charging ONLINE course, to assist installers when fitting Electric Vehicle charging points for public, private and business customers.

The government are providing incentives for companies for each charging point that is installed. £350 can be claimed per install for Electric Vehicle purchasers, to install an Electric Vehicle charge point at home, or up to £7,000 for business, providing they are installed by a City and Guilds 2919 qualified installer. The government has made available grants and tax breaks for those who plug-in to refuel.

This course covers domestic, Commercial, On-street and Industrial installations.

City & Guilds 2919-01 Assessment

Following successful completion of the course, the learner can then proceed to book their final examination/assessment at an Approved Centre. The format is:
  • Online exam: 40 Questions (60 minutes)
  • Task A: Installation design (commercial/on-street) (30 minutes).
  • Task B: Carry out installation (1 hour).
  • Task C: Initial Verification of installation (inspection and testing) (1 hour)
  • Task D: Installation design (domestic) (30 minutes).
