Course programme
Course description: This course will give you the basic knowledge and skills relating to plumbing. The course explores hot and cold water systems, pipes and gutters, plus how to install pipe systems, use materials and fit components.
It also includes an introduction to the construction industry and the range of operations involved within it. Alongside the plumbing course you will also study English, Maths and ICT.
The course will prepare you for employment and once you are in a job within a relevant sector of the plumbing and heating industry you may continue to study part time.
Entry requirements: Applicants should have completed the Level 1 Access to Building Services Engineering course, or equivalent. You will also be asked to attend an advisory interview.
Academic progression: It is possible to move on to further study from this course, at Level 3.
Career progression: Successful students could move on to an Apprenticeship with an employer.
