Brief Description of the Course:

This Creative Skills Certificate is designed as a valid and reliable progression to the production of floral items undertaken on the level 2 certificate. The course includes 2 core modules: a research design core module, where the learner will focus on design concepts and focus on a selected theme and principles of design and a sampling module, where the leaner will gain an understanding of the potential and limitations of craft materials. A further 2 specialist modules enable you to apply these skills in the context of floral design, and to develop knowledge and skills required to make a variety of floral designs. This is an ideal course for any florists looking to develop their skills.

Entry Criteria:

This course covers practical skills and relevant background knowledge. Students are normally aged 16 or over and have achieved a level 2 in a floristry or design qualification.

Assessments:

Assessments will include assignments and practical work. There are no formal examinations on the Level 3 Certificate.

Study Tours – There will be an optional opportunity to book on a range of trips and tours. These may include trips to Holland to visit auctions and growers, Bruges to visit an international flower show, New Covent Garden in London and various day trips to enhance the learner experience.
