EASA Regulations - Essentials for Logistics Staff

Course Overview

Regulation Essentials for Logistics Staff is a vital component of airworthiness management. Although there is awareness of the concepts of goods inwards inspection requirements, no current industry led course goes as far as this one does in providing a working knowledge for the logistics professional.

The course explores the regulations relating to the supply/logistics chain, focusing on the regulations as they apply to the logistics chain within approved EASA 145 Aircraft Maintenance Organisations.

Key Topics Covered:

  • Introduction to the international legal environment.
  • Basic introduction to the EASA Regulations structure and the rationale behind the regulations in Europe.
  • EC 216/2008, EC 2042/2003, specifically focusing onto Part-147 and Part-66.
  • MTOE Form 4 holder and management responsibilities.
  • Running an effective Part-147 approval, the organisation, documentation, planning and control.
  • Part-66 course types and requirements.
  • Part-66 Licence levels (A, B1, B2 and C). Limits of these grades and building a business case for delegation.
  • Section A and Acceptable Means of Compliance (AMC) & Guidance Material (GM) for illustration of how to meet the intent of the regulation.

Presentation Format

A balanced mix of group discussions, whiteboard work and PowerPoint presentations. Managed syndicate exercises afford participants the opportunity to practise the application of new processes and techniques.
