Civil Engineering - HD

• A core of comprehensive civil engineering subjects is taught to equip students with sufficient basic knowledge of structural, hydraulics and geotechnical engineering for civil works.
• In Year Two, students are exposed to practical subjects such as Construction Technology and Temporary Works, Highway Engineering, Structural Steel Design and Structural Concrete Design, so they can quickly adapt to a work environment when they graduate.

We teach students to apply civil engineering knowledge to solve construction problems and to communicate clearly and effectively in spoken, written and graphical presentations. This programme provides fundamental training in civil engineering, which means that students may pursue further study by joining the BEng(Hons) in Civil Engineering programme with credit transfer if they graduate with excellent academic results.
