It is recommended that you hold a full level 2 qualification, for example 4 GCSEs including English and maths at grade C or above (or grade 5 or above from June 2017). For adults, this requirement can be satisfied with relevant industry or life experience.

This unit is part of the Professional Skills Units (units 16 and 17) and together they offer you the opportunity to demonstrate proficiency and understanding in key transferable skills within a legal context. It is important to employers that all employees are able to develop their legal skills and this unit enables you to do this. Unit 16 focuses on the professional and ethical relationship between lawyer and client ranging from money laundering regulation compliance to professional requirements for communications. You will also examine other legal aspects, for example around client accounts and the handling of client monies.
