The Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2007 apply to most construction and demolition projects, and may, therefore, affect the owner or occupier of a commercial building.
The regulations place express duties on all persons who can contribute to the management of safety of a construction project. The biggest change to safety management within the construction industry in over a decade sees greater responsibilities placed on the clients:
