The majority of our graduates find employment as paid Assistant Psychologists, Psychological Wellbeing Practitioners, or in similar clinically related roles. In addition, our students have an excellent record of competing for Clinical Doctorate places.

Work Experience Opportunities:

As part of the MSc in Clinical Applications of Psychology students undertake a six month NHS research placement.

Teaching:

Teaching consists of lectures and seminars and we hold additional workshops for practical study. You will have an average of 8-10 hours of lectures and 2-4 hours of seminars per week in term 1. In terms 2 and 3, students complete their seminar study and undertake a six month NHS research placement, three days a week.

Assessment:

Assessments include written clinical case evaluation reports, design exercises focusing on clinical research, statistical analyses, qualitative analysis, open book examinations and a service related project.
