Clinical musculoskeletal spinal taping includes postural corrections, muscle imbalance corrections and motor control strategies .
Taping is often under estimated as an effective adjunct in the management of musculoskeletal problems. This course examines the scientific evidence of taping, the clinical rationale and clinical reasoning strategies including assessment and reassessment. Spinal clinical case histories will discuss the clinical application of taping when used for postural fault corrections; unloading musculoskeletal structures, muscle imbalances and motor control for spinal and peripheral dysfunctions.
Course learning objectives:
On successful completion of this course, the student will have:
- understood the scientific evidence of musculoskeletal taping
- understood the clinical reasoning strategies for the appropriate application of spinal musculoskeletal taping
