Cloakroom attendants and baggage deposit attendants are responsible for the custody of publicly owned clothing or packages and suitcases. Sometimes they may even be tasked with getting paid for this service. Cloakroom attendants work in hotels, convention centers, restaurants, nightclubs, museums and other places with large numbers of visitors, where they are tasked with keeping visitors' coats and bags. They usually do the work from behind a counter, where visitors go to deliver their coats and / or bags and, in some cases, even to pay. The cloakroom attendant gives the customer a numbered ticket and applies another ticket with the same number to the delivered item, then arranges the object on a shelf or on a rack, in the case of clothes, in a specific order; when the customer returns to collect the delivered item, he gives his ticket to the clerk who uses it to find the right item in the deposit by comparing the number.
