Ist Academy Close protection courses are fully residential, meaning accommodation and catering is included in the price.
This allows candidates to immerse themselves in close protection function for the two weeks duration.
The training takes place in Llanca, a town on Spains beautiful Costa Brava.
Through a combination of classroom theoretical study and practical "hard skill" drills, we will ready you for the job that is that of a CPO (Close Protection Operative)
The course will deliver all of the required tools to prepare you for what will be a rewarding but demanding career.
Our instruction team will guide you along the way, but a tremendous amount of effort is required on your behalf - this is not a babysitting or child minding service!
The course involves a 48 hour live scenario at its conclusion, where the candidates are structured into a working Close protection team and will escort a well known regional music personality during their daily routine in and around the historic city of Barcelona.
This exercise will draw on all skills and theory learned during the two week long program and is a real eye opener, particularly for those who wish to work on the international circuit and who will quite often find themselves in a strange city.

Our previous candidates have been very successful in gaining employment on completion of our training program and are now working in all corners of the globe.

Course programme

Intelligent Security Training will be holding a fully accredited Close Protection Operations course in Girona, Spain from May 19th until the une 1st 2014.Upon successful completion of the training program candidates will be eligible to apply for the Level 3 Security Industry Authority licence from the United Kingdom.
This is a much sought after qualification and is accepted by most of the large contracting companies around the globe as a legitimate qualification indicating that the licence holder is familiar with the workings and standard operational procedures of a close protection operation.
Our past candidates have had a high degree of success in obtaining gainful employment after completing our training program and are working in a variety of different close protection details throughout the globe, in the high risk sector, maritime security and the domestic executive protection circuit.For this reason, Intelligent Security Training are fast developing a sound and reliable reputation as a quality training provider and have a portfolio of over 200 strong contacts for employment agencies which we pass to our candidates upon completion of the course.

The cost of our training program is £1750 (2100 euros) and is inclusive of flights from airports serving Girona or Barcelona airports, accommodation, food, all training materials, exam and certification fees. There are no hidden costs like many training providers.
