Course Overview:
The Level 5 qualifications are designed for middle managers as well as those aspiring to middle management. The course is relevant for those managers who want to sharpen their professional edge and enhance their effectiveness. The course duration for the Level 5 Award is three months. Students will be provided with Affiliate membership of the CMI through until the completion of their studies.

Progression Opportunities:
On successful completion, a number of progression opportunities become available: • Enhance your professional status by upgrading your CMI membership. • Progress to other qualifications at the same level (e.g. CMI Level 5 Certificate in Management and Leadership, CMI Level 5 Diploma in Management and Leadership, CMI Level 5 Apprenticeship Programmes). • Progress to other qualifications at the next level (e.g. from Level 5 Certificate to Level 6 or 7 Certificate). • Apply to become a Chartered Manager.

Entry Requirements:
There are no formal entry requirements for this qualification. However, participants will normally be either practicing, or, aspiring middle managers. They will have the opportunity to meet the assessment criteria through their own experiences, and have a background that will enable them to benefit from the programme

Course Delivery:

You will complete the unit ‘Being a Leader’. This unit is about understanding and applying leadership skills, and, the understanding of ethical and cultural issues within the organisation. This course includes two workshops of one day duration each. After which you will receive on-going advice and guidance throughout the duration of the course. Assessment is via a practical work-based assignment. This ensures you take minimum time away from work, and, that you undertake work study which is relevant to you.
