Cognitive behavioral therapy
This approach to healthcare delivery is accepted as a model for the application of mental health treatment within the Department of Health. The course is linked to the appropriate level of the stepped care model that now underpins all mental health services across England.
Our programme has been fully validated by the University of the West of England, so it has recognised academic credit leading to a higher educational award. We have designed the course using the BABCP guidelines and are awaiting BABCP and BACP accreditation.
Work-based supervision
Work-based supervision is essential in the training and development of any CBT Therapist and is possibly the most important requirement for any CBT course. Supervised practice is available during Stages 1, 2 and 3 of the progression pathway, and will be enough to cover the 200 hours specified in BABCP guidelines.
Applying work-based supervision during the course is essential to enable delegates to practice CBT in their job roles. Doing this allows delegates to address problems in real time, rather than in a simulated situation. Delegates will be required to nominate a supervisor within their company who will then be assessed by our in-house team to ensure that they meet the requirements set in BABCP guidelines (available on request).
