The aim of the qualification is to provide the learner with the skills and knowledge to colour the hair using basic colouring techniques.
The skills developed by the learner will include:
Quasi/Semi permanent colour - full head application
Permanent/ Lightening colour - regrowth application
Permanent colour - pull through/ weave application
Lightening colour - pull through/weave application

Course programme
The course will involve practical skills development on practice heads and assesments on clients.
There will also be theory imput and a range of written tasks / online exams.
Progression onto other related courses (both full and part time) in hairdressing, beauty and holistic therapies.
City & Guilds Level 2 VRQ Certificate in Cutting Womens Hair (or working towards). Other qualifications will be considered as an entry requirement should someone wish to complete the qualification as a refresher and gain an up to date qualification City & Guilds Hairdressing (Basic) NVQ Level 2 Hairdressing Identified apprenticeships in hairdressing
