About this course
This short course is open to anyone who has an interest in creative writing, whether that be in writing stories, poetry or memoirs, and would like to develop their understanding of the subject, their creative writing skills, and their confidence in their own writing, with a view to enrolling on one of our full creative writing courses.
No previous skills are essential, though a solid command of English is advantageous.

A mixture of small group discussions and interactive activities and individual tasks.

There is no formal assessment for this course, but you will receive feedback from your tutor and comments from your fellow class members.

What equipment or materials will I need to provide?
None, other than a pen and some paper.
What other support is available?
Help with numeracy or literacy is available. ICT drop-in sessions are available during term time and are open to all learners. Additional support can be provided for students with learning difficulties and/or disabilities. Learner Support Funding is available for equipment, childcare and travel to learners who qualify.
