What will I study?
This course covers a broad range of domestic gas safety
including essential safety awareness and procedures.

- Characteristics of combination and flow analysis equipment
- Checking and setting commercial appliances
- Checking and setting commercial supply regulators
- Commercial fluing requirements
- Commercial ventilation requirements
- Gas emergency action and procedures
- Gas safety legislation
- Industry unsafe situation procedures
- Installation of pipework and fillings
- Operation and checking of gas safety pressure devices
- Operation and positioning of emergency control valves
- Re-establish existing supply and commercial appliances
This can lead to further education at Lewisham College, studying
ONC/HNC Building Services or other MES courses.
This can lead to employment in:
- Gas installation/servicing
- Mechanical engineering services industry
- Heating and ventilation industry

How will I be assessed?
Assessment is by a one day practical and one day theory
test.
What will it cost?
If you are under 19 and a home student, in most circumstances,
you don't pay any fees. However, you will need to find this out
when you apply.
