About this course

You must be aged over 19 and have lived in the EU for the past 3 years and currently be living in England. There is a short initial assessment to complete to ensure the course is the right level for you. If you are aged 19-24 you must already hold a full level 2 qualification.

Year 1

The course consist of the following mandatory knowledge-based units:
-Understand how to contribute to monitoring the health of individuals affected by health conditions
-Understand cardiovascular disease
-Stroke awareness
-Arthritis awareness
-Understand physical disability
-Parkinson disease awareness

There are no exams or observations, the qualification is assessment of written answers to set questions. Answers can be typed on a word document or completed using the work book provided.

Additional information

You will receive a resource pack containing three textbooks and three workbooks with submission dates for each part. You are assessed on the answers you supply within the workbooks. This is a knowledge-based course and you will receive feedback on your answers and guidance on how to complete any resubmissions you might have. This could be via post or email. There are no observations or exams.
