2. Course description Communication and Culture is the study of all forms of human communication and their relationships to the cultures in which we live. Over the course of two years you will study the following: • Verbal and non-verbal communication • Whose culture matters? • Identity and self-presentation • The value of popular culture • Group communication • The meanings and practices of everyday life • Reading images and products All sorts of cultural practices are considered ranging from architecture to shopping, ballet to going to the gym. Different theories are used to try to make sense of these such as feminism, Marxism and theories of globalization

3. Entry requirements Students applying for A Level should have a minimum of five level two qualifications (e.g. A*-C at GCSE). At least four of these grades will come from GCSEs.
