The Community Engagement Part I and Part II courses focus on community engagement in the community health assessment process. Particular emphasis is placed on using the Mobilizing for Action through Planning and Partnerships (MAPP) model with the County Health Rankings and Roadmap. This model also meets non-profit hospital Community Health Needs Assessment requirements in ACA IRS regulations.

Course programme
Learning objectives: At the end of this course you will be able to:
Part I: This course will outline the processes of engaging community members in organizing, developing partnerships, visioning, and assessing the community to develop a county profile and identify strategic issues.
Part II: This course will provide a framework to work with strategic issues to formulate goals and create, implement and monitor action plans to help the community reach its vision. (Part I is a pre-requisite for Part II.)
