Course Overview

The course covers a basic orientation to compressed air systems, simple performance, filtration, air purity and air testing, as well as safe procedures for checking and filling scuba tanks. The course has plenty of hands on practice and offers essential knowledge for anyone entering the scuba industry.

The compressor orientation Specialist course does not require any Open Water training dives. The course is normally run over 4-6 hours, with time being equally divided between academic and practical training sessions.

The course includes:

-Practical knowledge of the theory, principles and operation of compressed air
-Routine & recommended care procedures
-Introduction to the operation of a compressed system, following an orientation to that system
-Enable the filling of scuba cylinders with compressed air to the cylinder recommended working pressure.

Prerequisites

This is a non-diving speciality and has no prerequisites
