Course programme

You will acquire skills and expertise in using the industry standard AutoCAD 2009/10 software to develop 3D models and then apply a variety of different surfaces incorporating non-polygon mesh and polygon meshes. You will then progress onto constructing 3D solid models and rendering. This course is completely practical and takes place within one of the college's AutoCAD computer centres. Candidates work individually on high specification desktop computers. This course incorporates many examples of 3D surface models for the students to practise on. This course runs to the City & Guilds syllabus and allows you the opportunity to obtain City & Guilds Certificate 4353-03 3D Computer Aided Design in the use of AutoCAD. This is the latest industrially recognised qualification.
