Course programme

This course is suitable for those undertaking a programme of study in engineering or for individuals wishing to get to grips with 2D and 3D CAD and design. The course, using AutoCAD 2012, begins with a basic revision of drawing skills before moving on to composite 2D drawings and finally on to 3D shapes.

Whether to produce impressive and professional looking drawings for reports, designs or presentations or simply as a way of getting across to people, such as builders, exactly what you want, obtaining CAD skills will always be both worthwhile and rewarding. Candidates will undertake three separate assessments and, if successful, will gain a CAD qualification at SCQF level 7 (HNC level). The qualification may also be used towards other relevant HNC qualifications.

ILA funding is available for this course. For information, visit here: Individual Learning Account
