COURSE CONTENT

• Learn all relevant Health and Safety and housekeeping
• Understand how to apply machining strategies to a 3D
• Using roughing and finishing strategies
• Manipulate machining strategies in optimise machining times
• Create machining limits/boundaries
• Apply machining parameters
• Simulate machining cycles in 3D
• Import models and create models
• Run post processors to create NC file then safely store and export data to machine
• Run NC program developed on CAM software
• Identify and select relevant tools from database
• Create suitable machining limits/boundaries
• Apply machining parameters
• Set machine datums and tool offsets to prepare machine for machining component
• Using CMM to inspect component and create report
• Understand all relevant planning and inspection documentation

Entry Requirements

Advanced industrial experience of CNC and CAM and/or a level 2 CAM qualification
