About the course Computer-based crime is on the increase and around the world, government agencies, businesses and individuals are under constant threat. The impact of an attack can be huge, and the demand for people who can harden computer systems and improve their security is growing. This course is designed for students who want to specialise in computer forensics by investigating incidents and providing evidence for the police and courts. You will focus on network security, systems hardening, the process of gathering evidence and analysing captured data, and the legal requirements for those who work in this area.

The BSc (Hons) Computer Security and Forensics course focuses on the whole of the security life cycle covering the identification of risks and threats, securing of systems, testing of security measures and the responses required if security measures failure.
