About this course
Applicants should be 19 plus by no later than the 31 August prior to starting the course. You will need to have five or six GCSEs at grade C or above (grade 4/5), including English and maths, depending on the degree course you wish to apply for. It would be preferable if one of the GCSEs is a computer science subject. It is also important to have vocational experience at the beginning of the Access programme. A satisfactory reference will be required.

Course programme
Year 1
This is a one year level 3 intensive programme that includes 16 modules which cover networks and communications, computer installation and maintenance, programming in a visual environment, information management in the workplace, web page design and production, software skills using Microsoft Office applications, IT for academic study, mathematical, computing skills and English. You will also have a 1:1 tutorial to target set and support you with your work and assessment planning.
