About this course

This course provides a year of intensive training in computer science, and is suitable for graduates of disciplines other than computing who are preparing for a career in the computer industry. Applicants who want to add computing qualifications or to retrain as computing or IT professionals are the natural target for this programme, and the course is also a suitable preparation for PhD studies. This MSc provides opportunities for postgraduate students to develop and demonstrate knowledge, understanding, and practical skills in basic and specialised topics in computing, as well as the qualities and skills needed for group co-operation and for literature search, technical presentation and report writing. You also have the chance to join in development of a large software project.

All applicants must apply online. You can usually apply for up to two courses, although your second choice will only be considered if your first-choice application is unsuccessful. Most courses don't have a formal closing date, but popular courses close when they are full, so you should apply early to avoid disappointment. There may also be funding deadlines that apply to you. You will need to upload documents with your applications, which may include transcripts and degree...
