The Software course covers a variety of industry standard software such as: C++, C, Visual Basic.Net and Java Programming Languages, Advanced IT Applications (MS Office), Systems Analysis & Design (UML/SSADM), Oracle DataBase Vendor qualification, 3D Modelling and Animation. The course has recently been upgraded to include C programming and 3D Modelling & Animation, so that it is closer to the needs of employers.

One Higher Grade pass (A-C) and 3 Standard Grade passes (1-3) to include evidence of numeracy and communication skills, OR appropriate SQA NC modules or NQ units. Candidates over 21 may be accepted with lower qualifications, depending on work experience.
