Course programme

Based in a studio environment, you will cultivate your practice to include contemporary thinking. Through the participation of seminar discussions and practical projects, your tutor will support and guide you to create self initiated work. You will examine issues of composition, colour, line, form, space and abstraction as a means to extend ways of thinking about different approaches to the making of work. The course will culminate on the last day with a short studio exhibition, within the college.

Course Outcomes

You will have increased confidence in initiating work of your own from an informed perspective. You will have begun to create a visual language that extends your practice, to assist with applications to further education and exhibiting possibilities.

Who Should Attend

Suitable for those with experience in art and design with an interest in developing their practice. This course will help you to challenge your working methods through the exploration of contemporary fine art practices.
