The course gives you the skills required to carry out risk assessments in the workplace to ensure compliance with the Control of Substances Hazardous to Health Regulations.
Entry Requirements:
In our experience in order to be successful on this level of course you will need one of the following:
• four GCSEs at grades D-F (including English and maths)
• a BTEC foundation diploma in a related subject
• an NVQ Level 1/technical certificate in a related subject
• successful completion of the Gateway/Newstart course
• successful completion of the E2E/Prince's Trust course
• equivalent qualifications or relevant work experience.
Duration: Half day Course Overview
What does the course involve?:
This half day specialised risk assessment course provides theoretical knowledge and practical training. You will examine the legal requirements, the definition of hazardous substances, exposure and control mechanisms and the COSHH assessment techniques.
When can I study?:
Mondays, 9.00am - 12.30pm
Are there any exams?:
There is no test or exam. The course is certified internally.
