"Course Description
This COSHH course is aimed at those handling potentially hazardous substances in the workplace. It will introduce you to the COSHH legislation and help you to identify substances that are harmful to health and how to apply the appropriate controls needed to prevent or reduce exposure to them.
The course will further explore the regulations surrounding COSHH, in addition to employer and employee duties under COSHH regulations.
Completing this course is the perfect way to prove your knowledge of COSHH. The certificate achieved is fully registered with the CPD Standards Office and endorsed by the Institute of Hospitality and BIIAB.
You don’t need to have any previous COSHH training to do this course.
In order to complete this course, you must achieve 70% or more in the final multiple-choice quiz.
On completion of this course the learner will be able to:

Identify hazardous substances and explain how they can cause harm
Recognise international hazard symbols
State the five steps of a risk assessment
