Counselling and Communication Skills Part 1

The focus will be on the experimental and reflective, covering the following areas: confidentiality; listening skills; observing skills; reflecting skills; the relationship building skills of empathy, being genuine and respect; creating space and managing silence; constructive feedback; open questioning; understanding the purpose of referrals; responsibility; sensory awareness and self awareness.

We will also be exploring the importance of valuing yourself and recognising value systems and limits.
