Programme overview This Postgraduate Diploma in Countryside and Protected Area Management will enable you to acquire and develop a broad knowledge of, and the skills needed for, managing protected areas of the environment, including natural, cultural and recreational sites. It will provide you with the key skills and management tools necessary for resolving conflicting pressures and demands in protected areas. Course structure
This Postgraduate Diploma consists of 2 core modules (30 credits each) taught in alternate years and 2 core residential schools (15 credits each) held in April each year.
You must also select 2 option modules (15 credits each) from the list of options below.

Exploration of topics includes lectures and workshops led by invited speakers (e.g. from relevant government agencies, such as Natural England, NGOs (e.g. RSPB), consultants and academics) as well as a significant component of individual reading and research by students.
