Course programme
Entry Requirements
You will need 4 GCSEs at grade C/4 or above including maths and English. As this is a physically demanding course, do discuss any concerns regarding your ability to do the required practical work with the course tutor.
Delivery and Assessment
Delivery for this course will be in the classroom, out in our nature reserve or through practical work on nature reserves. Throughout the course we will visits nature reserves through the region where you will also gain the benefit of seeing professionals working in the field of conservation working for organisations such as Wildlife Trusts, RSPB and the Forestry Commission. Assessment will be through synoptic assignment, unit assignment, theory exam and practical assessments.
Progression
On completion of the course you could progress onto higher education. Alternatively, you could explore career options through Country Parks, Wildlife Trusts and organisations such as RSPB.
