Content of the Course

The Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling provides:

• coherent vocational and professional counselling training
• a competence based training which highlights the development of skilled practice via experiential learning
• specific training for the role of counsellor in an agency
• the opportunity to learn and deepen your knowledge of a wide range of counselling theories and approaches
• a pathway onto the Open University Foundation Degree in Counselling.

Assessment Details

External Assessment in the form of a written exam in year two of the course and Internal Assessment in the form of a portfolio.

Teaching Methods

The teaching methodology on this course includes whole group work and discussion, small group work, triad work, work with your peers and individual work.

Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling Year 2. Please note that the cost for this course is £3000 per year which can be paid for through a 19+ loan or through instalments if you wish.
