Course Content
On completion of Training in the use of an AED, each candidate should be able to demonstrate the sequence of actions and skills required to use an AED during simulated resuscitation (Basic Life Support / CPR) of an adult victim who has suffered cardiac arrest. The opportunity will be given to each candidate to perform Airway Management, Rescue Breathing and Cardiac Massage - in a simulated emergency situation - using a mannequin - including the use of an AED. Each candidate will be assessed throughout the Training session.
Certificates are issued upon successful completion of this course and remain valid for 1 year. Annual refresher training is strongly recommended.
