This Craft Level 1 course provides an introductory understanding of engineering principles and is ideal for school leavers who are considering a career in engineering.
To earn this qualification, you must complete a range of mandatory and optional units, including:
- Working safely in an engineering environment
- Carrying out engineering activities efficiently and effectively
- Using and communicating technical information
- Making components using hand tools and fitting techniques
- Using lathes for turning operations
The course also delivers a Level 1 Certificate in Performing Engineering Operations that is a practical competency based qualification where you will complete practical exercises and assessments in the engineering workshop.
