Course description Covering all aspects of art and animation in the digital industries, this Level 3 Diploma in Creative Media Production and Technologies is an ideal course for anyone brimming with artistic talent and creative ideas. It will help you develop all the skills and techniques required by this constantly growing industry. You'll be working to industry standards and using the same software and tools that's commonplace in this sector, as well as exploring new and developing technologies in art and design. From digital photography pieces to marketing materials for advertising campaigns, you'll be using live briefs to build projects from start to finish, developing research, creative, and communication skills along the way. Looking at traditional, 2D and stop-motion animation, digital painting & concept art, visual FX & compositing, and motion graphics, you'll experiment across a number of different platforms and really explore what each role in this industry entails.

3. Entry requirements You'll need to have either 5 GCSEs at grade C or above, or a Level 2 qualification at Merit or above to enrol on this Level 3 Diploma. A GCSE (or equivalent) in English is also required for both entry routes. You don't need to have experience in art, design or media, but you should be creative and be interested in both design and technology. Equipment required No equipment required 5. Assessment method Across this two-year course, you'll be assessed on 13 different units and a final project. This will through a variety of methods, including traditional research, problem solving tasks and practical assignments, as well as using modern technology like audio recordings and screen capturing to check you're learning the relevant skills and techniques.
