Creative Writing (Creative Writing 1; Creative Writing 2; HN Creative Writing)
Aim:
These units are ideally suited to writers and those who aspire to write articles, stories, novels, screenplays, drama, poetry and who would enjoy discussing ideas for writing projects. Encouragement and criticism will be provided in a friendly and constructive atmosphere and advice will be given on which unit is most appropriate for each student.

Length of Study:
18 weeks with tutor support.

Entry Requirements:
There are no entry requirements other than the desire to write or create.

Contents:
How to Generate Ideas, How to Market Your Work, How To Plan Your Story, Rewriting and Completing, How to Do Public Reading, Exercises for Inspiration

Study Method:
Home-based self-study with tutor to contact for help and advice, plus some College attendance in group workshops.

Assessment:
Each unit requires 3 completed Assessments. However, care will be taken to ensure that Assessments meet the requirements of each student on an individual basis, with tailoring of the Assessments towards the student's current level of experience.

Cost:
£315 + £12.75 SQA Fees.
