Description
The Crescent Arts Centre has been in existence since 1980. It is situated in the Queens conservation area in the former Victoria College, a beautiful old historic building of sandstone dating back to 1874.We offer a diverse selection of classes and workshops in music; dance & movement; visual arts; verbal arts; which are held throughout three seasonal terms (September to December, January to March and May to June). Our outreach programme develops and maintains working partnerships with and within the community. We also run two annual festivals: The midsummer dance festival City Dance and the Crescent literary festival Between the Lines. The Centre has a wonderful resource of many different sized rooms which play host not only to our programme of events but also to a number of arts related residents, including The Fenderesky Gallery. Several rooms are also available for hire.
