Foundation Degree or HND (240 credits).The subject of your qualification should be crime scene investigation or forensic science related.

In addition GCSE English language and Mathematics at grade C (or equivalent) or above.

Students for which English is a second language are required to pass the IELTS test achieving a minimum of level 6.


Assessment methods include coursework, exams and observed practicals, plus an element of reflective practice in some assignments allowing students to plan their future careers.

This course prepares you for a career in crime scene investigation and/or forensic science. During the course, you will be based in a crime scene setting allowing you to gain valuable work experience within your chosen field. Upon completion of the course students can apply for positions such as Scene of Crime Officer, Post Mortem Technician, positions within the Public Services and post graduate qualifications in a variety of related fields.
