Course Title CROCHET ONE DAY WORKSHOP (LEISURE)

Course Aims:
To start learners on the basic crochet stitches, chain, double and treble crochet and how to finish completed projects. For students to gain confidence to enable them to create and complete their work.

Course Content:
With support from your tutor, in a friendly atmosphere you will familiarise yourself with different yarns, shapes, pattern instructions and hook sizes. With guidance, students will start with a small project such as a coin purse or phone sock, and then move on to produce a cotton motif inspired beach bag or a holiday inspired cushion with a taste of Eastern charm! Learning how to shape and join motifs, and use of different yarns and colour combinations to create texture,form and up to the minute styling to a project whilst learning a traditional craft.

Progression:
To go on to make lace trims and edgings with fine cotton and crochet jewellery.

One day (10:00-16:00)
