About the course
The CSCS (Construction Skills Certificate Scheme) card is essential to any construction worker. Holding a CSCS card verifies your identity and shows employers that you have the required training, qualifications, and experience for the work you carry out on a construction site. Most major contractors and homebuilders require workers on their sites to hold a valid CSCS card. Many big construction companies won’t allow you to work on their sites without one. Once you have a CSCS card, it is valid for five years, however trainee cards may be valid for one or three years. Once your card expires, you will need to re-sit the health, safety and environmental test as new standards may have been introduced since your CSCS card was issued.

You will need to have previously completed a health and safety qualification. This can be from a stand alone course or as part of a a previously obtained qualification.
