About this course

You will need to have an interest in plastering, but no formal qualifications are necessary.

NVQ Level 2 in Plastering and Diploma Level 2 Plastering.

Course programme

What will I study on the course?

You will study how to carry out safe working practices in construction, knowledge of information, quantities and communicating with others, building methods and construction technology, how to interpret working drawings to set out masonry structures, knowledge of thin joint masonry and masonry cladding, how to build solid walling, isolated and attached piers, how to build cavity walling forming masonry structures.

Additional information

The course runs two days per week in the first year and one day per week in the second year. The main enrolment period for this course is in September but there will also be the opportunity to start the course at other times if places are available.
