Cybersecurity: Implications for National Security, Business and Civil Liberties - Florida International University

Recent cyberattacks raise important questions about how to secure the U.S. homeland, defend our economic interests, and safeguard our civil liberties in the face of cyber threats from abroad as well as intrusive governmental policies. This course explores the implications of recent attacks to national security, business and civil liberties.

COURSE LEARNING OBJECTIVES

Students will be able to:

• Identify a comprehensive overview of technical issues in an easy to understand format.
• Examine cyber security implications for business owners.
• Recognize the implication of breaches, including: Lost IP, compromised customer information and confidence, and valuation impact.
• Identify cyber security and implications to national security and civil liberties.
