The data architect defines a business driven vision for data supported by policies, principles and guidelines and underpinned with aligned data management and data governance.
In an economic recession there are increased pressures to reduce IT costs. CIO’s are looking to reduce cost while at the same time increasing operational efficiency and competitive advantage. Architecture skills and specifically data architecture will become of greater importance as companies become more global to combat the economic downturn.
