The General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) harmonises data privacy laws across Europe to provide greater protection and rights to individuals, ultimately replacing the Data Protection Act 1998.
Individuals will have the right to access their information and decide how their information is collected, used, stored and destroyed. GDPR compliance shows you are demonstrating to your customers that you take their users’ privacy seriously. GDPR helps you establish trust with your users. Failure to comply can result in serious financial penalties, including up to €20 million (about £18 million) or 4% of the company’s global annual turnover of the previous financial year, whichever is higher.

The nature of GDPR means that different businesses are affected in different ways, there is no one-size-fits-all route to compliance. It is therefore important that all staff are trained on GDPR to assist an organisation with compliance.

Phoenix can assist with our GDPR eLearning programme that provides an overview with examples followed with a multiple-choice test to evaluate the user’s level of understanding.
