Course Information
The Trust deals with highly confi dential personal identifiable information of patients and staff.
Every employee has a duty of responsibility to protect data and adhere to the legal requirements of the Data Protection Act (1998) and related legislation for the holding, processing, storing and security of patient identifiable information.
Course aims
All staff have a duty of confi dentiality to service users and colleagues in their daily work. This course aims to improve staff awareness of issues that relate to confidentiality to protect all personal identifi able information and to ensure that all staff understand the legal aspects of confi dentiality, data protection and information security and their professional responsibilities.
