DBA In Sustainability Management

The DBA – Doctorate of Business Administration has the same academic standing as a PhD. The DBA at SUMAS is a part-time professional doctoral degree designed to enhance professional practice through conducting original piece of research that generates new, actionable knowledge within the context of practice. It places emphasis on the application of sound theory and rigorous research into real and complex issues in business and management.
The students are expected to undertake an independent and systematic investigation addressing issues relevant to organizations and management to enhance trans-disciplinary professional practice, in addition to a contribution to knowledge via the development and application of theoretical frameworks, methods, and techniques.

This phase is an introduction to the methodology of research and to sustainability management. It involves attendance of SUMAS workshops, preparation of the literature review and student presentations.
