Description
Deaf Connections are a Scottish based charity with a national agenda. We are based in our large Centre in Glasgow. From here we provide a range of specialist services for Deaf and hard of hearing people across the country.
We are committed to enabling deaf people to participate fully in the community to make equality and fairness a normal feature of their everyday lives. We believe teaching British Sign Lanauge is vital for this inclusion to occur. We feel promoting communication between the deaf world and hearing world is important to improve knowledge and understanding of both.
Exclusion from a wide range of mainstream services and opportunities continues to drive the development of our new services. We work collaboratively with agencies to promote the interests of people in the Deaf community focusing on quality of life, independence and social inclusion.
